Let's look at the college football games that are this week. So ESPN has some prime time games and ABC has their main telecast for the week.
Marquee ESPN game: Texas versus Alabama. Two top 15 teams
Marquee Fox Game: Oregon versus Texas Tech.
Marquee ABC Game: Wisconsin versus Washington State.
Look at where the games are being played. The South, The Northwest, and some of the midwest. The West will still be at 5-7pm which means very few people will be home to watch TV. The East Coast will be devoted to watching football.
If Collison gets more than 400k this week, I will be STUNNED.
It's not like people are going to go crazy over the finals of their tournament being Roderick Strong versus potentially Samoa Joe or Penta. Not exactly going to be the casual fan that flocks to TNT to watch that.
And this week is considered to be a "dead" week in terms of matchups for college football. And again, while this might be beating a dead horse, even though this was considered a "soft" brand split, they do not have a World Championship for Collision. Punk's title (while basically his "own" title that he never lost) may not have been an official world title, it was still a major championship.
