* As part of Microsoft's efforts to appease the U.K.'s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) government body, MS had restructured their deal with Activision Blizziard in regards to cloud gaming. This new revision will now see Ubisoft running AB games from their own cloud-based service and in return will get a one-time payment from Ubisoft to compensate MS for the cloud streaming rights to AB games. The idea being that this would limit MS's ability to monopolize cloud stream gaming to alleviate this being the biggest fear and obstruction that the CMA had over purchase attempt of AB.

Lol, yet again the government sorely lacking in understanding of technology and "the cloud". Also feel like this is a play to get more eyes on Ubisoft +. IMO Ubisoft + is just another ploy to get someone like Microsoft to buy up their service, just like EA Access. Looks like it is slowly transforming into just that.
MS: Yo, can you just host this stuff for a while so people don't freak out?
Ubi: Sure.
After the agreement:
MS: Yo, you did great. We're gonna buy your shit and add it to Gamepass like EA.
Ubi: squeeeeeeeeeee
Microsoft's cloud gaming platform is very solid though. I don't think cloud gaming is "there" yet, but it will be in the next generation or two, easily.
