* As part of the recent FTC vs. Microsoft court case that was decided in favor of MS, Xbox CFO Tim Stuart had stated in a testimony that MS was predicting about 10 million in sales for Starfield and the upcoming new Indiana Jones games on Playstation platforms before they made the decision for both to be exclusive to Xbox platforms instead. Stuart had also stated that MS made that decision due to them feeling they can recoup those lost sales costs via Game Pass and extra Xbox consoles sold because of those two games.

The new service will provide access to more than 25 games, intended to replace the old Games with Gold. Microsoft intends to add new games two to three times per year. Players who received Xbox One games through Games with Gold can still access those games as long as they remain a Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate member. All Xbox 360 titles redeemed through Games with Gold will remain in your library even if you do not subscribe to Game Pass.
Like Xbox Live Gold, the new Game Pass Core will also be required for online multiplayer. There will also be specific deals and discounts exclusive to those subscribed to the service. Game Pass Core will be $9.99 per month or $59.99 per year. Existing Xbox Live Gold subscriptions will automatically change to Game Pass Core.
