This was the first Fallout I completed. I did get 3 when I first got my 360, but didn't play through it all the way. I don't think I quite "understood" how the game worked.


I'll give this a solid 4/5. I don't know where the hate comes from having not played 3, but I really enjoyed this game. Plenty of action, great campaign and characters. I recall my first playthrough and just being blown away at the science facility that was underground the entire time. The reveal of how long the player had actually been in cryo vs. what was originally thought.


Then we got Far Harbor which made things even BETTER. I don't remember all the details to the expansion, but the location was beautiful. I think I recall this crashing a few systems due to constraints at the time.... or maybe those were just anecdotal accounts from ppl I knew then.


I'd play it again. I never did do the settlement stuff, the frequency of the occurrences was too damn high, and it became tedious rather quick.
