Yeah I’d expect updates to be primarily cosmetic (wrestlers, arenas, etc). Maybe a few logic/gameplay tweaks here and there and that’s about it.

If they were to add anything beyond that (match types, etc) I would say that would be fairly stunning given the reality of what is happening at Embracer. Assets get reallocated/studios closed and moved to the bigger name IPs all the time.

As someone who is/has been a massive fan of the Tony Hawk series, the THPS 1+2 remake/remaster was fantastic. Immediately sold a million units within a week. Fans of the series gave it overwhelmingly rave reviews. And even after all of that, Activision killed the 3+4 remake by folding Vicarious Visions and moving them over to work on Diablo.

So yeah there’s no way a niche game like this is gonna get much in the way of support. The folks who act like this is gonna feel like a brand new game in a year are gonna be in for a rough time.
