Punk’s promo was good. Not an all-timer, as Dale said, but it ticked all the boxes. It addressed where he was and created a narrative about his crowd reaction (“cheer me, boo me, love me, hate me”). The Bucks jab was good. Set the show up as not being about “deserving” it, or about match quality, but about the kayfabe.
He was in a tough spot and he overachieved considering his work was going to be under a microscope.
