* In a recent statement to Eurogamer, Ubisoft stated that they will be doing a round of layoffs in the company. It was stated that due to recent changes made to their Customer Relations department, they currently expect around 60 people to be laid off from the company and primarily from that department. Those who have already been released stated on social media that the company gave no warning beforehand of these layoffs.

* In a recent fiscal report release, Capcom revealed that this past fiscal year was the sixth year in a row where the company saw a growth in profits and was also the highest ever in terms of game sales at 41.7 million games sold, which was 10 million more than they sold compared to the prior fiscal year. This 10 million increase was also the largest year-to-year increase in company history as well.

* In a recent fiscal report, Nintendo stated that they have sold over 125 million Switch consoles since its release in March of 2017. It was also stated that they had sold over 3 million Switch consoles this past fiscal quarter, which was a 22% decline compared to the same fiscal quarter last year. Despite the console's ongoing trend downwards in terms of new sales, it was stated that they are still hopefully of selling round 15 million consoles by the end of this fiscal year (March 2024).
