Debatable... but not for the reason you think.

For a good while, it was a race to the fucking bottom. The few times AEW stumbled on something that could/did change their fortunes, they consistently squandered it. Meanwhile in Connecticut, there was lots of "hold my beer" going on to the point of blatant active self-sabotage. There is just a lot more lifelong habitual watchers for almost anything WWE; likely out of fear that the one week they finally give up on looking at the shit would be the one week where a bunch of good stuff started happening and it became "good again".

It was like being a teacher and watching second graders take a spelling test at the end of every week: only one doesn't understand English and apparently isn't in the process of learning it, and the other knows all the answers every time, but just decides to write nothing but swear words for all the answers just because.
