Feels like the minute Page won the world title, the long term booking took a shit. There wasn’t any clear next in line champion, so they did a face v face angle to get the belt to Punk, when in reality it should’ve been MJF being next in line followed by his story with Punk. Hindsight is 50/50 I know but Punk’s first title win should’ve been in Chicago 1 year after he returned.
Punk's 1st title win should have come before he got embarrassed in UFC. Yes I know AEW wasn't around then, but after UFC Punk should have never been given a top championship.
