Tom Magee was supposed to be the heir to Hogans throne. There's a famous quote of Vince saying "that's my next Hulk Hogan".
He had this match with Bret where Bret made him look like a million bucks. This match was the holy grail for collectors.
Tom Magee was insanely athletic and strong as hell but had maybe the worst facial expressions of any wrestler ever. He never really advanced higher than WWF C Shows. He had a stop in Stampede and an infamous trips to Japan where he had terrible matches.
