This version of valkyrie is ok. She was great in thor 3 but here she's only present because its expected not because they had a story for her. Its whatever. Id have prefered her choosing to sit on the sidelines to focus on protecting her people. It would have felt more honest. But whatever.

Ugh, I know I'm coming across as beating a dead horse here but, I'm sorry, I like the Sif character so much to the point where this really bothers me. I actually went back and watched the two episodes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in which she appears because she gets way better treatment there. Jaimie Alexander just plays it so straight and so serious which consequently makes things funny as hell when she has to interact with non-Asgardians and the brief hints of romance with Thor lay the groundwork for something to be done in a film like Love and Thunder. I don't know if they just don't have confidence in Alexander or there was some mandate from the top that Valkyrie had to be a major part of this but it really doesn't matter because I'm a sad panda either way. Now to go watch the first Thor movie again.
