Very good card with what they’re going for. I would like to see them get out of other things they’ve already committed to, but I like what you’ve done here.
Danielson challenging Okada was a no-brainer. It was the match everyone wanted to see. It should have closed the show and it could have drawn real emotion out of people, because they are that good.
I’d prefer Mox vs. Goto to Mox vs. Tanahashi too. Tough chance we’re getting it though. But I think that would be a pretty cool spotlight to put on Goto, who seems to be missing those moments in New Japan. I wouldn’t object to Goto winning the thing.
I guess the Undisputed Elite guys have to make the card, right? I had Adam Cole going against Kota Ibushi and it leading to an Omega return. But that’s not happening, lol. I guess this contains the crap. Just please put the Bullet Club over. Jay White and Juice Robinson are actually good.
I guess you’re stuck doing this All-Atlantic title thing, so I guess you’ve got to do it. I see the finals as Miro vs. Malakai Black, but I guess if you’re finishing at Forbidden Door it makes sense to have a New Japan guy in there.
I guess having the AEW Tag Titles defended works. Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus don’t seem to really fit the New Japan side of things, but I guess they’re a “thing” in AEW? If you can call them that. ZSJ putting Jungle Boy in submissions could be fun.
I get what you’re going with in the House vs. House match. I’m just not a fan of either side. Makes sense though.
Page and Tonga…it seems right for Page, but not what they’d like for him. I’d have the guy sitting out and being out of mind for a while, but we know they’re going to jam him down our throats. This would have been a nice offering to New Japan though. You can have our former World Champion and put a mid-card belt of yours on him.
LIJ vs. Death Triangle makes sense.
I think the 10-man tag is inspired. I like the face side of things there.
Overall, I think you’ve meshed the two “universes” well and have got everyone “important” on the card.
