AEW feels irrelevant as fuck right now. This was the right thing to do with Cody. Think about what Tony Khan would want. He’d be hoping for a mid-carded to show up and eat humble pie. By making the presentation work on the big stage, Tony now has no leverage with anyone except the most discontented.

They were always bigger and were going to be due to the mark presentation of AEW, but by playing it bigger AND better, AEW are left holding their dick. Brilliant.
