That’s only true if there is a 0% chance anything goes wrong in AEW. Whether it’s bad booking, feeling stifled, feeling like you’re carrying your programs too much of the time, money, freedom or the company fucking around your friends — there’s definitely reasons why a guy might get frustrated with his boss.
By the way, Defender Dave is reporting that this story is true. His damage control consists of him saying that they’ve sorted it out and didn’t have a physical altercation (lol wtf?), but if Dave is conceding that the story is essentially true and it doesn’t make AEW look wonderful? Well, make of that what you will.
It’s UNLIKELY this leads to MJF quitting tomorrow or whatever. That wouldn’t be a smart move even if there was legitimate interest in going to the WWE on his end (despite his recent jabs). But there appears to be smoke to this fire. If, how and when that kicks off remains to be seen.
