He went from mad demanding an apology, to praising Tony and AEW all within the same 24 hour period, even though there was no public apology to Swole or anybody else. He was trying to keep his job, (he never appeared on AEW again and was fired 7 weeks later) along with being replaced with Jay Lethal within 2 weeks, it was clear none of what he said was voluntary.
"I look forward to working with Tony to keep making steps towards positive change...for 7 more weeks". He got another 7 weeks of pay for backtracking his justified outrage and praising Tony. The thing about Hush Money is you don't usually get the full story, but it is pretty clear what happened considering the aftermath.
