I'm reading that Meltzer was discussing Cody's contract situation. It's been over a month since his AEW contract expired and now people are saying that he may be WWE bound. I think his TV contracts to Warner could complicate things.

I think there could be truth to this, I can imagine Cody feeling stifled in AEW since it does seem that he was a big creative voice at the beginning but perhaps not so much now? Is he such a mark that the AEW fans booing him actually pushing him away from AEW? I can see it.

If Cody did go back to WWE, what a fool he would be. But wow what a story that would be too. Devastating to AEW, boy that would really fuel the fire for this war.
