Seriously, NXT 2.0 is a deliberate step away from having a bunch of guys who's entire identity is "Guy who Wrestles Good" to having a bunch of wrestlers with different and various identities.
Triple H got his chance to run a boutique product for the Network to get some experience. There’s a difference between that serving a purpose and developmental though. And filling 2 hours on prime time cable. It’s incredible how NXT changing to become more synchronized with the main roster has been spun into Triple H losing power or something. The product has a different function.

Now, whether or not it is achieving what they want it to remains to be seen. Ridge Holland and Von Wagner seem like the first tests of that.
