Yeah, it worked out, but how many other ideas like it have worked? How many other promotions have done knockoff Rumbles that sucked? How many WWE ones in recent years have been boring or forgettable. They kind of worked under Patterson and his attention to detail and finishes and the like. But the Royal Rumble has been coasting on that nostalgia for sometime.
