I honestly didnt think the PPV was bad itself, but it had such a lack of a any kind of build. It was just there. There was literally nothing there. It had some good matches if it was just a random exhibition show.

That said, it is not a random show. It is their second longest running show, and even though it has been the number 4 of the big 4 for 30 years.

It has become what they mostly do, just coasting. I remember distinctly remembering in the aftermath of their new TV deals, which were announced a solid 15 months before they would actually kick in, that WWE really started coasting. At the time it was almost positioned as "well they are kind of holding back until the new deals" mentality.

Hindsight though, it wasnt them holding back, once they got those deals, they really didnt care to try and get better to make more money, they were going to do JUST enough to keep chugging out content.

They give us one, maybe two new pushes per year. Everybody else is completely stagnant. That is what Survivor Series felt like today, the presentation was good, the matches were good, but nothing new was created or setup tonight, nor was anything concluded. Its just what they do now.
