Okay, it’s now crossed over to the point where this has to be shtick. He has to know why this is a ridiculous thing to say. I don’t see the benefit though. My guess is that he’s talked up a game so long, said some things that if taken seriously could bite him/AEW, so he’s doing a Jericho where he just masks this by pretending it’s an intentional work.

I guess it could be some misguided (in my opinion) marketing strategy to try and galvanize AEW fans into some sort of weird frenzy? Like, “We don’t give a fuck! Rah! Look at us! Push back reality!” Or he’s just actually cracking and having too many drinks before he posts.

I don’t understand why Tony Khan is front and center of all this promotion. He’s not an active on-air personality all the time, but he’s more Dixie than Carter at this point.
