This whole “I can call them out” blanket of “I’m actually objective” is just silly too. It’s a way of trying to artificially boost a perspective by making it appear to be the balanced one, hence implying that other takes are not. It doesn’t actually rely on reason. If half the people who could allegedly call out AEW on the stupid shit they did sometimes, then we’d have a lot more of a fruitful discussion and maybe more than 1.1 million people watching.

And the ratings being trivial? That may be your take to dismiss the hoopla surrounding it, but it is definitely not the case that everyone thinks this way. It’s deadly serious to some people. Look at how personally people take it even here.

You can call them out, you can be a shithead all you like. Its things like when Smeat simply posts "news" here for everyone to look at (not just members, but guests as well) and you personally attack him for it. They aren't HIS views nor HIS opinions, he is simply posting news and rumors much like this site always has. Go shit on Fightful or Meltzer or Bixenspan.... the people ACTUALLY "reporting" this stuff.



Now, people shit on you as well, which isn't right (in some cases) either. You are a self-professed "obsessed wrestling fan" which is a level of fandom I don't think many people fathom, let alone understand. Your level of fandom goes well beyond the casual viewer, but most people don't really care for that level of whatever. When they fail to understand it, they shit on you or you shit on them unwarranted and things devolve into the same ole schtick.



I'd argue most people are like me, in that they tune in sometimes and if what is on the TV entertains them, they'll watch till the next commercial break. AEW/WWE/WCW, etc. Put any three letters you want and there is always "something else" to watch for your average viewer.
