According to the Observer Newsletter, WWE is currently working on several ideas and plans for next year's WrestleMania 38 weekend in Dallas.
Besides the idea to do another two-day event, they are also consider the idea of holding WrestleMania 38 as just a regular one day show but would hold the next night's RAW in the stadium as well.
In regards to SmackDown's go-home show, WWE is currently considering holding it in a different city due to American Airlines Center being booked for something else that night.

Right now that is under consideration but not a done deal, but logically it makes sense. The different ideas they approached the stadium with was a Sunday Mania and Monday Raw at the stadium with a 40,000-seat set up. They also brought up doing both Saturday and Sunday Mania and were looking into planning, security, insurance, cost of production, length of the event two days vs. one day and other locations for shows that weekend. Smackdown right now can’t be held at the American Airlines Center in Dallas because the Mavericks have the date. Often the Smackdown before Mania is taped ahead anyway so talent can get into town, but on FOX maybe they don’t want to do that this year. They are also looking at Gerald Ford Stadium, which holds 32,000, as a possible home for Smackdown and Raw because they expect so many tourists in town for the weekend
