I'm okay with it, mostly because it's good to instill some doubt that these kind of obvious ploys aren't always going to work, especially since they usually do in WWE.
I get people not being excited about Edge winning since he's old guard. I think he
wants to be around more than a Lesnar/Goldberg, assuming his body can hold up to it this time around.
I'm not sure who else would have been a great choice for either of the current champions, I also imagine they want to have some kind of "name" in one of those spots to try and lure some new subscribers when they move over to Peacock to try and prove they're worth the money to NBC, so let's all just thank god it wasn't Goldberg or Lesnar.
