I think next year is the year you run a Rock v Roman feud. It doesn't need the belt, but fuck it. As long as it happens.
Brock or Cena should be fed to Roman this yr. And if they can't be, Daniel Bryan is the next next option. Especially if it's going to be his last true main event run.
I'm still praying to see Becky and Ronda come back in the rumble, eliminate each other, and run a program to have a grudge match at Mania.

I 100% agree about the live crowd issue. But if you add everything else up...
WWE just signed a major deal with NBC/ Peacock
The Rock has 2 NBC shows name. One debuting very soon that could be a hit
The Rock dont have to wrestle hardly at all for 6 months. The blueprint was shown with Brock Lesnar.
Rock can come in as the face of the match and so it wouldnt hurt his sitcom Young Rock
And you already have the ready made King of the table/ seat at the table Samoan family story line with the #1 heel and biggest star of the company.
WWE would be either crazy or just simply not giving a shit about the product, if they did not pick up the phone and ask if he was interested in running with this idea. Or maybe they are just so fucking terrible at this point that they were incapable of coming up with this idea. But the way i see it, they picked up the phone and asked and if Rock dont show up tonight and win the Rumble, then that means Rock declined.
It makes so much sense.
