He’s not saying “Do this and you’ll smash it in the ratings”.

Here’s a guy that comes to mind; Daniel Bryan. First guy to throw his hat into the Rumble and “next inline to face Reigns” literally has a 50/50 win/loss record in 2020 (according to cagematch) and has a 2/2 in singles matches since returning in October.

That’s not to say he won’t start building momentum.
