WWE has higher overhead costs because of their larger production staff and other associated stuff bloating the cost for episodes.

The amount of money going into AEW's bank after you subtract costs isn't that huge even compared to WWE's old deal but it pretty much means Khan's original plan of becoming profitable in year 4 or 5 would now be possible in year 1.

Vince had the same mentality with the XFL's revival when it came to them accepting a similar ad sharing deal. No expectations of being profitable until maybe the end of the 1st deal and putting all the hope on the next deal ensuring profitability and big spike in revenues.
