I like the idea but guys would have to be locked in for more than a yr. Otherwise making it an annual switch would just re shake the rosters too often.
I'd love for them to adopt the idea of signing guys who are injured, underperforming, or just not being used as a storyline gimmick.
For instance, when Rollins was coming back from knee surgery, could run with the idea that he's a free agent after mania, and there's questions about his health. He gets a 1 yr deal from one of the brands as a pillow contact to rebuild his own value. You (ideally) book him strong for the whole year and hype up his impending free agency with his home brand trying to extend his contract and the other brand identifying that they want him as their marquee free agent signing.
The wwe would some how fuck this up but it's a cool conceptto think about.
