I feel like WWE's popularity is actually slipping tbh, as many have mentioned here.
I know wrestling is a niche market to begin with, but with sliding ratings and social media (WWE hasn't trended worldwide on Twitter since WM itself -- which is why you haven't heard them brag about trending -- YT views each week are down a little too, less merch sales, less subscriptions to the Network, less live attendance, etc.
Part of me thinks years of WWE having so much content and going against what their most vocal and passionate fans want has finally caught up with them. Granted, RAW in particular has been bad for like a year at this point and really nosedived the last few months.
IDK, I think what I am trying to say is I think ratings will keep dropping. I also think people will tune into the Network for PPVs though. I think the weekly tv shows are going to have some trouble though as they are bad and most of the time, not really a reason to watch.
