They're really going about it all wrong. You want to showcase how women's wrestling has evolved with an all women's PPV, you don't do that by putting women from the bimbo era who haven't wrestled in a decade, in singles matches.
Like I get you want past names in there for their marquee appeal, and because in their own way they contributed to where we are, but fuck's sake put them in a tag match. It would have the same effect, while allowing the women who are in their prime, and better in ring talents to face each other in matches that would truly put a nail in the coffin of the word "Diva".

Women's Rumble had the same problem with too much of the focus going towards the Bellas and Divas era instead of being a celebration of all WWE women eras. Even Asuka's victory got quickly overshadowed by WWE's need to have Ronda's post-match debut be the main talking point.
Was speculated the only reason why McCool had a ton of eliminations was due to WWE wanting to appease Taker to guarantee he'd compete at Mania.
