I remember him being basically 100% correct about the WrestleMania 33 card. I think some stuff sneaks up on him because it sneaks up on everyone. He can only report the scuttlebutt on what he actually hears and then what actually transpires.
It's crazy to me how many people (not you, mind you -- I'm talking generally and about people like Prichard), will see Meltzer get way ahead of something and then not give him any credit for it like it was something he could have known without knowing. There is obviously stuff he doesn't know, but I think the stuff he does is obviously stuff he does.
And in regards to that tweet, he's saying that he thinks it's an ugly idea. He's not actually commenting on whether or not he thinks they will actually do. I think a lot of people have expected this for a long time. I don't think it's particularly shocking.
