Something in WWE booking that occurred to me recently that's very telling of Vince's mentality - how often do you hear about male babyfaces being "best friends"?

Female wrestlers are routinely "best friends", and male heels (Zayn and Owens, Jericho and Owens) are routinely described as best friends - but Reigns? Cena? Lashley? AJ Styles? Do these people have "best friends"? No - and I think it's because Vince sees friendship, or any sort of emotional connection to another person, as emotional weakness and unmanly, and assumes the audience would agree.

So you end up with heels that feel like real, fleshed out human beings, while the babyfaces are cookie-cutter "rebels" going it alone, because Vince thinks fans will only relate to a face that's "sticking it to the man".
