The other thing is you're not going to know if a guy is a good promo if he's given a script. We've seen several wwe.com exclusives where whoever is talking, whether it be Ryback, Ziggler etc, come off as miles better and more natural than what we see on actual television.
Not to mention, other than Cena, who was given freedom and even now is likely given freedom to do his thing, who's been a breakout star in the scripted promo era?
