Also teasing Women's and Tag titles are going to have their own versions of belts on Smackdown soon since WWE wants each brand to have the same number of belts.
The recent WWE poll about the idea of bringing a former belt back is likely teasing Smackdown getting another new belt assuming the cruiser division is getting their own belt.

I would like to wait and see how it plays out before I form a strong opinion on it.

With the Cruiserweight Division coming to the RAW roster, the reintroduction of the WCW/WWF/WWE Cruiserweight Championship (of the World) would be futile as the strap had a weight limit of 220 lbs. The new 205 lbs. limit will cause "discrepancy" in the lineage and create unnecessary confusion. I'd rather see a creation of a brand new championship, while exclusive to the cruiserweights, not having the "cruiserweight branding" on the actual belt and name. Something similar to TNA's X-Division Championship - the WWE Elite Championship.
