I think you've nailed it, I've not taken into account the HBM. I wonder if using that in a custom way could allow HBM to be stacked on a an APU, like a special motherboard with a wider APU die or something. Or they try to make this a premium system and actually do have a seperate nano style GPU that's sort of XB1 sized?
Just thinking aloud at the possibilities. Like I said, Klepek has proper journalist chops unlike most people in games media, so if he has multiple sources saying the same things, Sony at least have something in the idea pipline.
