I started a ramble about this a day or two ago, mostly in response to someone defending their shitty booking, and The Wyatts were my main example, but my tablet powered off.
Nutshell; Bray was interesting, but never really did anything of note, so the bloom fell off that rose with fans, Harper and Rowan are BOTH decent big men (yes, I see value in both, not just Brody), but they are just generic giant hobos.
When they split The Family, it was the time to expound on them as individuals, but Bray just continued to be jobber to the stars, Harper couldn't get a proper singles feud, just a big clusterfuck over whichever midcard belt was in the balance, and WWE expected Rowan to get over by osmosis, because "kids like buying masks, right?" And they didn't even take the path of least effort and make Harper and Rowan feud before abandoning it and lumping them back together. But, hey, that's THEIR fault they can't get over, right?
Then, there's also the time they tried to shoehorn the most over guy in the company at the time into the stable as a heel because reasons. And now there is Braun: another generic big man, who actually tips the scale away from Bray's favor, as he has gone from a real of psychologically imposing (he can manipulate these heavies because he is "better" than them/can beat them) to simply a glorified manager who is using them as meatshields.
There was so much potential for depths there, but now, it's just a fat jobber with three tall jobbers. Bray can promo all he wants, alluding that they are the LITERAL BIBLICAL four horsemen (but has to choose his words carefully, because WHOOOOOOO!!), but why would the fans want to give a flying fuck about a stable with no truly memorable substance behind them?
