You will always have different records. Just like in WWE, I guarantee Cena and Reigns dont have "50-50" records.
I dont want to get into a whole thing about this, but I know 100% for a FACT based on previous work experience that pro sports leagues in North America would love to have every team be 8-8 (or equivalent in their sport). The ideal state is to have all of your markets in contention for as long as possible. Personally, I'm actually against this mentality, I prefer a system where your biggest markets are able to flex their financial muscle and be dominant, but I'm not running any sports leagues, so I dont get my way.
I know WWE has pulled a lot of executives from the pro sports world, so that might be where the mentality came from. My point though is there is no evidence that one element has caused any shift in the success of decline of aspects of the business. Despite what the bloggers say.
