Weekend News Edition:

1) Ubisoft confirmed Rainbow Six Siege does not feature a campaign mode and instead is just a multiplayer-only game. It does have an offline mode but its more of a training mode for online.

Quote:
“There is no story mode per se. You go through training, where you get to experience different operators and their devices. You can play against enemy AI in co-op through all the maps. You can customise matches, so that’s what we’re offering on the single-player side of things.

It’s a pretty good training ground, and on top or that you’re unlocking the same content as you would playing in PvP. You’re still gaining stars, reknown points, and new operatives”

2) Sony stated they do not have plans to release a successor to the PS Vita. Hinted if they ever do make another handheld, it likely would be similar to mobile devices.
Quote:
"That's a tough question," he replied when asked about a PlayStation Vita 2. "People have mobile phones and it's so easy to play games on smartphones," Yoshida said. "And many games on smartphones are free, or free to start.

"I myself am a huge fan of PlayStation Vita and we worked really hard on designing every aspect. Touch-based games are fun - there are many games with really good design. But having sticks and buttons make things totally different.

"So I hope, like many of you, that this culture of playing portable games continues but the climate is not healthy for now because of the huge dominance of mobile gaming."
