That's a possibility. I'm probably being too optimistic that they could confidently present their current product to a mainstream public audience without freaking out.

How about an encore presentation on a lower network? I'm not sure the status of the WWE's relationship with SyFy, but when they lose SmackDown, they might accept a later screening of NXT since SmackDown is still one of their highest rated shows, isn't it? It would fit the channel more than SmackDown would, arguably, as I imagine the nerdish following of SyFy would probably value the geek element of professional wrestling presented as a territory.

But that way you also have NXT "premiering" on the Network, so if you're subscribing for NXT, then you aren't calling up to cancel, and it might draw new fans in -- potentially a few hundred thousand, which moves the meter at no extra cost to them (and they'll probably be making money off Syfy too).
