Yeah, there was a time when Smackdown became the "can't miss" show, and RAW was same shit different week, and the championship that was on SD (remember, at one point they swapped the WWE and "big gold belt" as THE championship of the show).
The belts are only as prestigious as they are presented to be. Doesn't matter if there are 3 or 12, if they lack ANY focus, or are handled like shit, they fall off. Look how long it took for the Tag Team titles to go from worthless props back to *some* prominence in the last decade. In spite of how toy-like it looks making people sneer at it, the Divas Championship often becomes a joke because most of the women who hold it can't wrestle well, and the women who CAN wrestle well aren't put anywhere near it.
