Remember when the Mets traded for Eric O'Flaherty and I said "I don't care about his 5.91 ERA, the reason they're getting him is that he carves up lefties who are only hitting .186 against him"

In the 3 weeks since coming to the Mets, lefties are now hitting him at a .444 clip with a 2.70 WHIP He has a 15.88 ERA through 9 games with the Mets. Total season ERA up to an even 8.00. And in 2 of those games he came in with a huge lead and single-handedly allowed the other team to get back into the game.

It's a small sample size, but I've seen enough. I'd rather not have a lefty specialist at all than try desperately to get something out of him. He's just totally shot.
