In terms of numbers, ROH dropped a bit while TNA improved by 45k compared to last week. No real pattern yet between the shows (ex. ROH helping TNA and vice versa, etc).

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the WWE is discussing the possibility of bringing in more part time wrestlers such as Samoa Joe and Rhino to help beef up their NXT touring shows. The belief is that many of the brand's marquee stars will likely be on the main roster by 2016, and the company will need more fire power to carry a third touring brand. The report also says there are main roster talents willing to work the shows. As we reported exclusively last week, NXT has been booked on the Louder than Life music festival for Louisville in October. The WWE is hoping to book NXT on more music festival events in the future.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, TNA made a big play for former WWE Champion Rey Mysterio Jr last week. Mysterio left WWE earlier this year after over a decade with the company. The Observer reports that both TNA President Dixie Carter and John Gaburick spoke to Mysterio and pushed the notion that they could help increase the visibility of his merchandise, and get it in several retail outlets. Mysterio was also told that he would be built around as a major Hispanic superstar, and would be permitted to work anywhere he wished on days off from television tapings. It was noted by the Observer that Mysterio is still more likely to head to Lucha Underground, although nothing is set in stone, and nothing has been made official.

However, they were all under contract with EVOLVE and LU decided to only pay for Ricochet.
There’s no word on when or if the second season will happen yet. Those involved with LU are moving forward as if there will be a second season. Talent is starting to fill up bookings for dates that could be TV tapings, which would take priority.

One person told us the star of the camp was Drew Gulak, who was both great in the ring and on promos. Another name that hasn't been mentioned before at the camp was Idris Jackson, who is a Northern California wrestler.
One of the biggest stories of the camp was of Dustin & Derek Mehl, twin brothers who work in California and Nevada as the tag team of the Suburban Commandos. Of late they've been working at Hoodslam, but were regulars for years for Supreme Pro out of Sacramento. After day one, they both didn't even come back for day two, which is the hardest cardio day. A lot of the wrestlers were upset because for these camps, WWE pays people's transportation and puts them up and most of the guys there knew other wrestlers who would have done anything to be at the camp and would have gotten in their best shape beforehand, and saw it as two guys taking spots away from them who blew it off after one day.

Christian is no longer wrestling for WWE even though he didn’t have a formal retirement and the reason is that WWE decided to stop using Christian because the number of concussions he suffered in his career, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
It was noted that while there’s nothing really stopping Christian from wrestling again, WWE has a lot of concern about the concussions and they just didn’t feel like investing more time in the character.
