Figured the Astros being good this year is more of the AL West being a bit weak and their young/cheap guys finally developed well. Past several years the jokes have been about them being a "minor league" quality team because of how cheap the new owner was.

Pretty much this. Apparently the 2 systems were exact copies of one another (Luhnow brought it with him to Houston from St. Louis) and even the passwords were exactly the same, so Cards brass just logged in using the same passwords that were used before.
