Exactly my thoughts it felt like the story and gamplay weren't really going anywhere I remember a moment where I asked myself is any of this really worth the money?

The answer was no. Started at 2 and quit after black flag.
Played none of the side games I MIGHT(I stress might) look into it if they ever go to Japan but I'm bored with and done with AC for the foreseeable future.
