A lot of article broke this with a VERY high degree of certainty. Feels like somebody backed off this. Nobody spoke with the usual grain of salt that they would with rumors. That or this was one huge jumping the gun.

This isn't an ethics thing so much as a possible case of circular citation. That's a much older journalistic issue. Often seen with techie sites.
