Ronaldo, Figo and Beckham are stood at the feet of God at the gates of
heaven. God leans down and says to Ronaldo "And what brings you before me", to which Ronaldo replies "You have been my guiding light throughout my footballing career, from the ghettos of Rio to the bright lights of Madrid.
You are my saviour and I worship you and all that you have done for me".
God nods in agreement and Ronaldo dutifully takes his place at Gods side.
The Lord then speaks to Figo "What brings you before me" he says. Figo
replies "My Lord, you gave me the strength and belief to be all that I could
in my footballing life. I have learned from you respect, pride and
gratitude which I have conducted myself with fully throughout my career".
Again God nods in agreement and Figo takes his place by God's side.
The Lord then turns to Beckham and says "I suppose you want your ball back?"
