We noted earlier this week that a WWE representative denied that former UFC star Chael Sonnen had been invited to WrestleMania 31 weekend to talk with the company but Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reported that Sonnen was still attending and would likely be having informal talks with someone in the company. Meltzer added on the Wrestling Observer message board that Sonnen is supposed to meet with WWE's Executive Vice President of TV Production Kevin Dunn.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that apparently former WWE Champion Alberto El Patron (Alberto Del Rio) will be returning to MMA soon. It's believed that he will be fighting for either Bellator MMA or Glory Kickboxing. There are other promotions that have talked with Patron but those are the two groups that have been in negotiations as of late.

A special edition of WWE NXT will premiere this Tuesday night at 9pm on the WWE Network. Corey Graves will host the show and look at the events leading up to NXT Takeover: Rival.
The NXT Takeover: Rival Kickoff Pre-show is now confirmed for 7:30pm EST on the WWE Network on Wednesday night. It will feature Renee Young, Byron Saxton, Jason "Tensai" Albert and Graves.

They wrote: "This as-yet-unnamed WWE Legend will join "Macho Man" Randy Savage and Celebrity Inductee Arnold Schwarzenegger in this year's elite group of icons, to be honored at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony the night before WrestleMania 31. Will this 2015 WWE Hall of Famer be from WWE's Attitude Era? Is it a groundbreaking WWE Diva? Or is it perhaps a fan-favorite competitor from ECW, WCW or another classic promotion?"

WWE Diva Tamina Snuka has been training with NXT Diva Lina Fanene, who is The Rock's cousin, and it's expected that she will be returning from injury soon. Tamina has been away since June 2014 after having knee surgery.

Top indie stars Willie Mack and Shane Strickland impressed Lucha Underground officials in their tryouts at last week's tapings. Mack may be signing a deal soon but Strickland, former Olympic wrestler Jeff Cobb and former WWE Tough Enough participant Martin Causus have all signed with the promotion after the recent tryouts. Causus, Strickland and Cobb are expected to get new names. Cobb will be starting as a regular on TV soon and the others will appear in the next few months.

Some other sheet news include DDP was recently rushed to the ICU after being diagnosed with Subglottic Stenosis (breathing problems). Also according to the PWTorch, the #CancelWWENetwork had a bigger impact than the WWE originally believed and is the main reason why Reigns vs Bryan is happening at Fastlane.
