We noted at the first of the year how Lucha was interested in hiring JR for a full-time role and they begin filming the new series soon. AAA also wants Ross to announce their English language pay-per-view events.

Just to clarify, the new deal is for more of the current tv channel type and not them getting the US type version.

Sources close to the situation indicate the contract issue between WWE and Sky Sports doesn't at this time look like it will be resolved any time soon, so until the network has geoblocking put in, where Main Event could air in the rest of the world but not in the U.K. market, it contractually is not able to air on the WWE Network.
The current time frame appears to be late summer or early fall for geoblocking to be put into place and the expectation would be that Main Event would return to the WWE Network at that time.
The show will continue to be taped due to international broadcast commitments but it would have no television home in the United States, but will remain available on Hulu.

WWE really messed up with how they handled the Network in the UK and pissing off Sky Sports. The reason why Main Event was a Network only show was because nobody else was interested in carrying it once Ion TV dropped out.

Some other sheet news include Dave Meltzer debunked almost all the stories Hogan told on the recent podcast with Jericho. Recomended to skip to the podcast unless you wanted a laugh at the BS Hogan was saying.
