I think it was done as a way to get rid of "The Big Gold Belt".

With the logo change now happening, they've made a new WWE Title with the new logo.



If the image is real, as it's a pretty low quality image so it could be fake, I'm expecting the new title to be used tonight on Raw, along with the new logo.
