A name to watch out for, either for football or pro wrestling, is Arthur Fatu, a 6-foot-2, 335-pound offensive lineman at West Texas A&M in Canyon, TX. That college, when it was West Texas State, was a pro wrestling factory, producing more legendary characters (Dory Funk Jr., Terry Funk, Stan Hansen, Bruiser Brody, Dusty Rhodes, Tully Blanchard, Tito Santana, Ted DiBiase, Scott Casey, Bobby Duncum Sr., Kelly Kiniski) than any other college.
Fatu, 21, a junior, is the son of the late Eddie Fatu (Umaga). He’s said to be a similar athlete as his father, who was amazingly agile for his size. Before the Usos came around, I always considered Eddie as the best worker in that family. He’s hopeful of pro football, but wrestling is his plan B. His cousin Joe was a college football star at Georgia Tech as an offensive lineman, who dropped about 60 pounds and is now Roman Reigns.
