If you're ignorant enough to even consider thinking that Alex Rodriguez wouldn't be great with or without drugs, I don't know what to tell you.
Roids do not make a player better. Baseball is a skill driven sport. PEDs do not teach plate discipline, approach, swing path, swing mechanics, etc. Nor do they influence hand eye coordination, pitch recognition, and all of the other skills that go along with baseball. All roids did was either/both help him recover from workouts/injury faster and maintain strength and health. He still had/has to have well developed skills built up and around God given talent in order to excel.
